The Navy Yard on a Sunday Morning
by Max Mester
My mom had a meeting in my house, and my dad, Larry, and I had to get out of the house. My dad suggested going on a hike, but neither of us wanted to change our shoes. So we decided to take a drive and go somewhere new. We ended up going to the Navy Yard in South Philly. After arriving, I was immediately taken by the sharp lines, shadows and mellow colors of the the old boats, bridges and buildings. I decided to find interesting ways to capture those aspects of the old Navy Yard. These photos were shot on a Nikon D3300 and edited using VSCO.
